The Silver Frames Company was founded by Gary Knofflock, a lifelong builder with a passion for better ways to build. Having worked in timber framing since his teenage years, Gary discovered light gauge steel framing in 2014 — and after diving into the research, he never looked back.
A visit to FRAMECAD in Auckland confirmed what he already suspected: steel framing was the future. So much so, that after earning FRAMECAD’s respect with his knowledge and genuine enthusiasm, Gary invested in his own machine and made the full switch from timber to steel.
Today, The Silver Frames Company is driven by a team of experienced steel framing specialists and detailers who share Gary’s commitment to smarter, more efficient building. With a deep understanding of both the product and the process, the team works closely with builders, architects, and developers to deliver high-quality framing solutions that are accurate, durable, and ready to perform.
